The Bremen Logistics Centre is located in the Bremen freight traffic centre (GVZ), Europe’s leading GVZ since 2020. A key factor in this success story is the excellent trimodal transport connections to road, rail, and in particular the ports in northern Germany. Added to this are the freight connections from Bremen Airport and also the relative proximity to Hamburg Airport.

Close to the Mercedes-Benz and Airbus plants, the location is, for example, ideally suited to suppliers from the automotive and aircraft manufacturing sectors.

Bremen is one of Germany’s most important business locations. In the past 100 years, the Hanseatic city has developed into an outstanding location for the European aerospace sector, with Airbus located in Bremen since 1969. It is joined by around 140 other aerospace companies operating within the Weser metropolis, which is known as the “City of Space”.

Bremen is also a leading location for the automotive sector. Mercedes-Benz started manufacturing in Bremen in 1978, and the plant is today the company’s second largest production location in the world.

On 1 January 2025, two units at the Bremen Logistics Centre which have been updated in terms of office spaces and sustainability will become available within the GVZ Bremen, offering a total area of 20,000 m2 of modern warehousing and logistics space.

GREAT TRANSPORT CONNECTIONS

The Bremen Logistics Centre offers excellent trimodal transport connections. The A281 is only 3.2 km away, and the A1 (the most important connection between west and east in northern Germany) just 12 km.

The proximity to various ports is a particular highlight. The port of Neustädter Hafen, which specialises in general cargo, is only 1.8 km away. Just 20 km away, the industrial port of Bremen can be quickly reached via the A27. The sea port of Wilhelmshaven, 112 km away, can be reached via the A29, while the sea port at Bremerhaven is 75 km away and can be reached via the A27.

The Weser Tunnel, which is planned for the A281, will in particular further improve the connection to the industrial ports and the A27.

Freight access to rail transport routes is excellent, via the Grolland marshalling yard a mere 3.4 km away. Air freight can be handled via Bremen Airport just 7 km away.

During their breaks, staff can walk to the Mühlenhauser Weg nature reserve in just 10 minutes, and restaurants are only around 3 km away.

New office and social areas are also being created – and as potential clients can still be involved in designing these additional spaces (which will be located in two units each measuring 330 m2), they can adapt them to their individual requirements.
