Goodman Group, a leading owner, developer and manager of industrial real estate globally, has signed a 10-year lease agreement with CECZ Logistic Park Management for a 19,000 sqm logistics facility at Bremen freight village (GVZ). The property benefits from excellent infrastructure connections, with direct access to the A281 motorway, the Deutsche Bahn rail freight network and the Port of Bremen.
“The successful lease agreement was the result of the freight village’s excellent location, which is characterised by high-demand and low vacancy, together with Goodman’s dedication to maintaining its portfolio to high market standards,” said Carsten Schmidt, Goodman Head of Portfolio Management in Germany.
Starting on the first of March, the facility is being operated by a logistics service provider specialised in e commerce and retail logistics. CBRE acted in an advisory capacity for Goodman and CECZ Logistic Park Management was advised by Realogis.
Additional availability in the region
Bremen freight village is one of the prime locations in the region, with almost no vacancy. However, Goodman maintains land for development approximately 14 km from the freight village and 8 km from the Daimler plant.
“Goodman is able to develop up to 10,000 sqm of logistics space in the town of Weyhe with direct access to the A1 motorway, which provides the same benefits as Bremen freight village,” said Christof Prange, Goodman Head of Business Development in Germany.
Strong footprint in Bremen
As an owner, developer and manager of logistics space, Goodman is present in all major German logistics locations. In the Bremen region, Goodman manages 234,000 sqm for logistics service providers, the automotive industry, trade, and other industrial customers.
