Goodman, the global property group that owns, develops and manages logistics space, can now provide approx. 800,000 sqm of space for modern logistics purposes spread across a number of important ports. Hamburg, Bremen, and Gdansk are port cities and important hubs for the movement of freight, as well as top locations for internationally focused logistics.
Goodman combines the strong capital base of a global company with the specialist expertise of its local staff. Employing this method, the company has taken just a few months to get three significant port projects off the ground in Germany and Poland.
In February 2013, Goodman announced that it is making some 40,000 sqm of new logistics space available in Hamburg, the second largest port in Europe. Shortly after it announced a 33,000 sqm pre-committed project for an automobile manufacturer in Bremen, which is another excellent port location. Both of these new developments are named Goodman Interlink.
Goodman is currently developing another large port project the Pomeranian Logistics Centre (PLC) in Gdansk The location has the potential to close the gap on the two largest European ports of Rotterdam and Hamburg, and can offer ice-free access to the Baltic Sea all year round. It also offers comparably short transport routes to Asia. Goodman will develop a total area of 500,000 sqm. Kuehne + Nagel was among the first customers to lease space in the first warehouse.
