DSV extends in Leipzig

Global logistics provider DSV has extended the lease for its logistics property in Leipzig, which it leased from Goodman. The renewal of the contract, which has been in place since 2013, is not only a clear commitment to Leipzig as a location, but it is also an expression of the excellent cooperation with Goodman.

Soft factors such as the strong partnership played a major role in the decision. From an economic point of view, however, it was of course the "hard facts" that tipped the scales. The logistics property, which can be used flexibly around the clock, offers 21,000 m² of high-quality warehouse and office space.

Strategic importance
The excellent transport links give the location strategic importance for DSV's business. The company values the perfect location of the Leipzig South Logistics Centre just outside the city. The excellent connection to the motorway network and to the goods distribution centre are important criteria. 

"We are delighted that the cooperation with DSV, which has already lasted almost a decade, is being extended," says Dr Denise Schönfeld, responsible for Asset & Property Management at Goodman Germany. "We are very happy to have such great relationships with our customers in general. These are also reflected in zero per cent vacancy, in other words full occupancy."

Focus on sustainability and well-being
The Leipzig South Logistics Centre is equipped with many features for sustainability and well-being. Energy-saving LED lights were already taken into account during the planning phase and a gas-free pellet heating system was installed. The site is also currently equipped with charging stations for electric cars. The outdoor area is also designed to help increase biodiversity - a good example of this is the installation of four beehives that provide the staff with healthy honey.

"In the past, we have already driven forward many developments together and are now continuing on the path of making the property future-proof.
