The Baden-Wuerttemberg mechanical engineering company Felsomat is the new customer of our commercial property in Pforzheim. The company will operate a production facility and warehouse at this location from the autumn of 2022.
Felsomat GmbH is a leading manufacturer in the fields of production automation, machine tools and e-mobility. The company has now taken a long-term lease on a commercial property from Goodman in the gold and jewellery city of Pforzheim - the Pforzheim III Logistics Centre.
The location is only a few kilometres away from the company's headquarters in Königsbach-Stein. Felsomat will use the approximately 12,000 m², state-of-the-art property as a production facility and warehouse.
Great transport connections
The property is perfectly connected thanks to excellent transport links. The Pforzheim Nord junction of the A8 motorway is just five minutes away. Via the A8, it takes only 40 minutes to get to Stuttgart Airport and only 30 minutes to get to the Rhine ports in Karlsruhe. There are also convenient rail connections to local and long-distance transport routes.
Thomas Geditz, Plant Manager Felsomat Pforzheim: "By expanding our production area in Pforzheim, we are able to turn around our large order backlog with optimised logistical processes. At our new location in the Pforzheim-Buchbusch industrial zone, we will be able to further significantly expand the machine tools and automation sector and focus on the e-mobility sector, which is also growing at a fast pace, at our main plant in Königsbach-Stein. We are aware that factors such as excellent transport connections and infrastructure are of great importance for the smooth running of logistics processes, as well as for the development of jobs and for the workforce. We are therefore pleased to have found a sustainable property in the economic region of Pforzheim and thus to have been given the opportunity to create over 150 jobs."
"We know that the right property in the right place is of crucial importance for companies' economic success. With excellent connections to important transport infrastructure such as motorways, the rail network as well as airports and ports, they can develop efficient supply chains and achieve shorter transit times," says Dr Denise Schönfeld, who is responsible for asset management at Goodman Germany. "That's why we are continually investing in developing and managing quality properties in strategic locations that our clients can benefit from both now and in the future."
