Goodman looks forward to another five years of partnership in Langenbach

An international logistics and freight transport company has shared a partnership with Goodman for many years. As further evidence of the success of this collaboration, the rental agreement for the logistics centre in Langenbach in the metropolitan region of Munich has been extended until 2027.

Just 15 km from Munich airport, the international transport service provider established a logistics centre in 2003. Five years later, Goodman acquired this commercial property as part of a sale-leaseback transaction and leased it to the logistics company.

In 2012, the property was extended with the addition of a new hall. As a result, the customer now has a total of 24,100 sqm at their disposal – 21,760 m² of hall space plus 2,340 sqm of office space.

Sustainability is an important topic for both partners. The leading logistics service provider is implementing an internal initiative with the aim of making its shipments completely carbon neutral by 2030. With its sustainability programme GreenSpace+, Goodman is making a significant contribution to the creation and commissioning of circular, net-positive buildings.

Sustainability also on the agenda for 2022
One example of the efforts made to achieve sustainability is the conversion of the hall lighting to energy-saving, long-lasting LED lights back in 2018. 

Sustainability is also on the agenda for 2022, which is why the outdoor facilities are being redesigned – this will not only benefit biodiversity, but also improve the wellbeing of employees, who will feel happier in their new surroundings and be able to enjoy their breaks. In addition, charging stations for electric cars and e-bikes are being installed to optimise electromobility.

Agreement extension until 2027
Due to the long-established, successful partnership between the two companies, the logistics company has decided to extend the rental agreement by another five years until September 2027. The team at Goodman Germany is grateful for the trust that this demonstrates.
