Goodman accelerates second phase

Goodman is bringing forward the second phase Hamburg South Light Industrial Park in Seevetal, just outside the Hanseatic city. This is in response to fierce demand for space in a premium urban location, particularly in the industrial South Elbe area.

Phase two of Seevetal Light Industrial Park, set for completion mid of 2023, will deliver approximately 10,000 sqm of additional high-quality distribution space across two units, alongside office facilities. Reflecting strong demand for light industrial facilities in the area, which reaches almost 4.4 million consumers* within a 60-minute drive time, the first phase comprising 33,000 sqm of high-specification light industrial, showroom, and office space was let weeks after construction commenced. 

Situated directly on the border of Hamburg, Seevetal Light Industrial Park is ideal for medium-sized companies seeking flexible space with fast access to large numbers of consumers. Customers will benefit from the site’s strategic location. Seevetal Light Industrial Park highlights Goodman’s long-term focus on infill locations and investment in sustainable development, particularly in and around the Hamburg area. The transformative project is reimagining the 65,000 sqm site of brownfield land, formerly a sand mine, into this high-specification and sustainable business park. 

Built to DGNB Platinum certification and in line with Goodman Europe’s GreenSpace+ strategy, phase two will feature a range of sustainability features, including a full array of rooftop solar PV with 450KWp, charging infrastructure for e-cars and e-bikes, rainwater harvesting and air source heat pumps for heating office areas. In addition, the gasless heating system joins the Goodman sustainability portfolio as a new standard.
